The NGV’s Annual Report for 1876 provides only the description shown above, making identification difficult.

However, these photos may well be identical with one or more collections of New Zealand views held in the SLV, including a group of 18 anonymous albumen silver photos of NZ landscapes, dated between 1865 and 1885 (H141650). Further investigation may prove fruitful.
