The largest of the five watercolours by this artist bought in 1883 (see * Guardabassi L’Elemosina {1883} Loc? [WT]), this work is clearly listed in the NGV’s stock-book as having been de-accessioned in 1941.

The title translates as “Old woman spinning.”
